Portrait of Mao Narita

Mao Narita

Graduate School of Humanities, Kobe University

I am a Ph.D. student at Kobe University. I became involved in the field of quantum information science several years ago, and I am currently visiting laboratories to film their work processes in order to identify the practical knowledge used in setting up experimental systems. Although quantum information science is an academic field even further removed from my background than history that I have observed before, I am striving to deepen my understanding of it through participant observation.

Portrait of Takuto Enomoto

Takuto Enomoto

Research Center on ELSI, the University of Osaka

My name is Takuto Enomoto, a specially appointed fellow of Research Center on ELSI at the University of Osaka. My area of expertise is the philosophy of science and information. I am interested in how the concept of “information” is used in various fields in multiple ways, and I am convinced that quantum information science is a prime example of this. I am also investigating whether pseudoscience related to quantum information science exhibits characteristics that differ from traditional pseudoscience.
